Andries, originally from South Africa, has extensive experience as a highly qualified international skipper. In 2014, Andries and his family immigrated to Australia and he took charge as head Captain of Dreamtime Girl Charters.

We are keen to hear from you if you have skills and enthusiasm to work with our Sydney charter company. We keep a register of skippers, deckhands hostesses and cleaners. We prefer at least 2 years experience working professionally aboard charter boats.

Our History
The Dreamtime Girl Story
Dreamtime Girl was launched in 2009 by Dominic Coleman and his wife, Amanda Townsend. Simply the vision was to do more of what they loved, which was chartering and ocean sailing and share it with others. In 2000, Dominic merged his skills in hospitality and his passion for sailing and started Sydney charter company, Sydney Harbour Escapes. The charter business grew into a large charter company representing over 140 boats. Dominic had co-owned The Rose of Australia Hotel in Erskineville and the Grand Pacific Hotel in Kingscliff in Northern NSW with much experience in the hospitality industry. Amanda is an accomplished artist and brought the creative factor to the enterprise. Their sons Leo, Maximo and Marco grew up with boats and were an integral part of the boat charter business. In a move to do more sailing, and Amanda to do more art, they sold Sydney Harbour Escapes in June 2019. With the loyal support of the Dreamtime Girl team, they have kept the boat in survey to continue doing charters on Sydney Harbour and the Whitsunday Islands.
