Our Story

Dreamtime Girl was launched in 2009 by Dominic Coleman and Amanda Townsend. Simply the vision was to do more of what they loved chartering and ocean sailing and share it with others.Dominic skills in hospitality and his passion for sailing were realised opening Sydney Harbour Escapes in the year 2000. He had co- owned the Rose of Australia Hotel in Erskineville and the Grand Pacific Hotel Kingscliff in northern NSW. Since a child, Dom has sailed the waters of Sydney Harbour and after starting the business with one boat the company grew to represent over 140 vessels for charter cruises on Sydney Harbour. Amanda his wife and an accomplished artist brought the creative factor to the enterprise and was responsible for the very successful SEO campaigns and powerful website. Their sons Leo, Max and Marco have grown up with boats and are an integral part of the business. In a move to do more sailing, and Amanda to do more art, they sold Sydney Harbour Escapes in June 2019 and have kept Dreamtime Girl in survey so as to continue doing charters on Sydney Harbour and the Whitsunday Islands. The boat is operated for charters by Andries Page.
